  Well Maintenance Project

Well Maintenance Project

JWOC's maxim is See a Problem, Solve a Problem... in Siem Reap we have seen the emergence of a problem that is in dire need of being addressed. Since 2000 many wells have been installed in Siem Reap province by numerous charity organizations. In time, all wells need maintenance and repair. Many villagers do not have the finances or ability to fix their wells. If wells are left broken villagers either lose their source of water entirely or continue to use unsafe water. Thus, when JWOC partners with a village, we make sure that we address this problem by investing enough to repair and maintain all the wells in those communities. In addition to checking and maintaining the wells in the villages we work with, JWOC also provides well maintenance training to give families the knowledge they need to look after their wells and what to do if there is a problem.

Fixing a broken well can cost anything between $10 and $80 so every contribution counts. Even a small donation to our well maintenance fund can resurrect a well and give villagers back their right to clean water.

Visit our Donate Now page and donate what you can towards restoring the gift of clean water and know that you have made someone's life better...
