Ambassador FAQs

What is the JWOC Ambassador program?

The Ambassador program is a network of people who have previously supported JWOC through volunteering and donating. The program has recently been created with the hopes of raising local awareness of our organization and continuing your involvement with JWOC. We are reaching out to you to become one of our Ambassadors.

Why was the Ambassador program started?

This Ambassador program has been started to form a group of individuals who have been involved with and believe in JWOC. Many of you have returned from our trips and asked us for ways you can continue helping the people and communities you encountered during your travels. Thus we are answering that desire, and have combined your eagerness to help with our need for it!

Why were you chosen to be an Ambassador?

We are asking you to become an Ambassador because of your expressed interest in continuing to support JWOC. Your past participation has already been instrumental in changing lives, and we would sincerely appreciate your continued involvement with us. We are choosing people who are excited and heartfelt about all of our projects, and we believe that you can beneficially spread your passion about JWOC.

What exactly does being a JWOC Ambassador mean?

To put it simply, as a JWOC Ambassador, you represent our organization and its mission for change in Southeast Asia. You help spread the word of JWOC and all of its different projects and goals within your local community. Ambassadors are the valuable connection between our organization and potential enthusiasts, engaging in various fundraising opportunities to increase monetary and participant support for JWOC. Our Ambassadors are located throughout the United States, expanding our organization and introducing JWOC to people in new communities.

What are my Ambassadorial duties?

Your main responsibility as a JWOC Ambassador is to increase the organization’s exposure and promote our mission and projects to people and businesses that we do not have everyday access to. By outreaching in local communities, an Ambassador will help fundraise for JWOC through business-to-business ventures and word of mouth. We will provide you with many fundraising ideas and tools, including pre-drafted scripts for asking opportunities, but welcome your creativity as well. We also ask that Ambassadors maintain open communication with us, updating the organization with your activities and suggestions.

What does JWOC give you?

As a JWOC Ambassador, you will be highlighted on our website as someone who gives above and beyond for the organization. We will send you an Ambassador packet, which will have a JWOC informational DVD, brochures, and other resources. You will also receive a special monthly update from Andrea so you are really informed about what we are up to, as well as the organization’s current goals. We hope that the beneficial and life-changing work that occurs in Southeast Asia because of the efforts of our Ambassadors will be your greatest reward.
