Vann Da
Pannasastra University of Cambodia in Phnom Penh
Second year; Studying English

"My name is Chhut Da and my nick-name is Vann Da. I was born in a poor family in the district of the Siem Reap Province in Cambodia. There are five people in my family, and I have one brother and a sister. Right now they are married except I am single. My father is a farmer and my mother is a farmer too. My brother lives in Phnom Penh with his wife's family and now I borrow his motorbike to ride to school. My sister lives in the village back home in Siem Reap with her husband and my parents.

I met Gill in the Siem Reap Province at the Landmine Museum and I took her from Journeys Within to the Landmine Museum every day. Gill asked me about my real life, I told her about my real life.

1989 - 1995 I studied at Sam Rong  Primary School
1995 - 1998 I studied at Dom Dek Secondary School
1998 - 2001 I studied at 10 January High School in Siem Reap town
2001 -2005  I had stayed at the Landmine Museum

I stayed at the Landmine Museum to help Mr. Aki Ra, because I did not have the money to study at university. Two years ago, I met Gill and I told her I want to study English and become a good English teacher. So she now supports my study at university.

Before I studied in Siem Reap Province and this year I changed to Phnom Penh to study at PUC (Pannsastra University of Cambodia). I think PUC is the best one University in Cambodia. Now I stay in the apartment in Phnom Penh the west of the Olympic stadium. I live with my five friends. They are from Kandal and Kampong Speou Province, but they are all so friendly. I am very happy to stay with them and I am very happy with my studying.

I really want to become a good English teacher !! "
